The KFC Twenty20 Big Bash was the domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. The competition is organised by Cricket Australia, and sponsored by fast food chicken outlet KFC

The KFC Twenty20 Big Bash was the domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. The competition is organised by Cricket Australia, and sponsored by fast food chicken outlet KFC.

The 2011–12 Big Bash League season will be the inaugural season of the Big Bash League, the premier Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. The tournament replaces the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash.

The BBL will commence on December 16 and run for around three weeks. The two teams that qualify for the final will compete in the 2012 Champions League Twenty20 Tournament.

Each team in the BBL has a $1 million salary cap, with each team being able to sign a maximum of two international players.
