Henriques (MOM): It was a nice day today and very happy to get the win early doors. It was very important to change your pace, with two batsmen who were going so well, can't get too predictable. Today's game shows how close the tournament will be.

Haddin: It was a good result in the end, it is always nice to get off to a win in the tournament early on. It was a normal Wanderers wicket with plenty of pace. We knew it is a very hard ground to defend on and our plans worked to the T today. It is important to get better and better in the tournament and that's what we are planning to do.

Dhoni: At the end of the first innings, we felt that we gave away 15 runs too many, but it happens in this format. We batted really well, Hussey and Faf batted brilliantly at the top. Raina was aggressive and calculated throughout his innings. Maybe if we hadn't lost those wickets, we could've won.
Sydney Sixers beat Chennai Super Kings by 14 runs.
